Dr. Dana (Dane) Skow was hired as the Executive Director for CCAST in October 2017.
Dr. Skow brings more than 25 years of experience in high-performance computing and large volume, high-velocity data-driven research, including positions at the University of Colorado-Boulder, University of Wyoming, the National Science Foundation, Argonne National Lab and Fermilab. He has been involved with a number of US National and International organizations including TeraGrid, Open Science Grid, Global Grid Forum, Research Data Alliance, and the Coalition for Academic Scientific Computation.
Dr. Skow earned a PhD in High Energy Physics from the University of Rochester, NY, and an undergraduate degree in Math and Physics from Augustana College, IL. He is a native of Sioux Falls, SD but has lived in the Chicago area most of his career. He and wife Nancy have three grown daughters working on the East Coast.
